Appointments
Patients can now book appointments online. If you wish to register please call into Southdene Medical Centre for your registration to be completed. You must bring photo ID with you.If already registered click on the link above to book an appointment.
Appointments can be arranged by telephone or by calling in person. You can see the doctor of your choice but on occasions this will not be possible. If you think your problem is medically urgent ask yourself, “Does my problem need to be seen today, or do I want it to be seen today?” Please give the receptionist an outline of your problem, so that an appropriate appointment can be organised or seek advice from the doctors.
Patients’s Preference of Practitioner
You have the right to express a preference to receive services from a particular practitioner. If you do express a preference, you will be given an appointment in their next available clinic. This may not be possible in the case of an urgent appointment request.
Cancellations
If you are unable to attend an appointment which you have booked, please inform us as soon as possible so that your appointment can be given to someone else.
If you fail to inform us that you no longer need your appointment or that you are unable to attend, patient access is greatly reduced.
Telephone Advice
If you would like to speak to the doctor for advice but are unable to attend the surgery, please contact the receptionist who will be able to advise you of an appropriate time to telephone. If possible, give an indication of what you would like to discuss (unless there is something confidential which you would prefer to discuss with the doctor).
